Backstage Sentinel is committed to protecting your privacy while ensuring the safety and security of our premises and artist. To facilitate visitor screening for secure locations and to prepare for potential medical emergencies, we collect and process certain personal information through our security application. This consent statement explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal data in compliance with applicable privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) where applicable, and other relevant regulations.
1. Data We Collect and Purposes We collect the following personal information for the specified purposes:
Security Clearance:
Data: Full name, contact information (e.g., phone number, email), identification details (e.g., driver’s license or ID number or date of birth), social media handles, and other relevant screening data.
Purpose: To verify your identity, assess eligibility for access to secure locations, and ensure the safety of all individuals on-site by screening for potential security risks (e.g., through social media threat analysis). This data will also be used to manage Non-Disclosure Agreements for persons contracting with the artist for services.
Medical Emergencies:
Data: Emergency contact information and, if voluntarily provided, known medical conditions or allergies relevant to emergency response.
Purpose: To enable prompt and appropriate response in the event of a medical emergency, ensuring your safety and well-being.
2. How We Use and Share Your Data
Security Clearance: Your data is used internally by our security team and may be shared with third-party service providers (e.g., background check or social media analysis vendors) solely for screening purposes. Data may be disclosed to law enforcement if a credible threat is identified, as permitted by law.
Medical Emergencies: Health-related data is used only by authorized personnel or emergency responders in a medical emergency. It may be shared with healthcare providers or emergency services as necessary to protect your health or safety, in compliance with HIPAA where applicable.
Safeguards: We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards (e.g., encryption, access controls) to protect your data from unauthorized access or disclosure.
3. Legal Basis and Your Consent
Security Clearance: Providing personal data for security screening is a condition of entry to secure locations. By providing this data, you consent to its collection and processing for the purpose of ensuring safety and security. Refusal to provide this data may result in denial of access.
Medical Emergencies: Providing emergency contact or health information is voluntary. By checking the box below, you expressly consent to the collection and processing of this sensitive personal information for emergency response purposes. You may choose not to provide this data without affecting your access to secure locations.
4. Your Rights
Under applicable privacy laws, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
Correction: Update inaccurate or incomplete data.
Deletion: Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements (e.g., security logs).

Security clearance data is retained for a period of 24 months.
Medical emergency data is retained only until your visit concludes or as required by law, unless you consent to longer retention.
6. Backstage Sentinel LLC collects mobile numbers to send transactional SMS/MMS messages for event security and safety at our events. We do not sell or share your number except with authorized event staff or first responders in emergencies. Message frequency varies (approximately 1-5 messages per event). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for support.
